About
Set out as a knowledge and skills development hub, Youth and Kids Alive (YAKA) is an NGO registered in Eswatini on 06 October 2020, company number 202010063024060. We aim to equip the youth with relevant skills and information to overcome social, academic and economic challenges through community revitalization, mentorship and knowledge dissemination. Here, the organization has a greater focus on entrepreneurship, academic development and career guidance. Through seeking a holistic approach to empowerment, YAKA also addresses socioeconomic issues such as GBV, crime prevention, mental health, HIV/AIDS etc. to cater to the social context young EmaSwati live in. The organization was founded by a group of passionate EmaSwati driven to positively impact communities where access to opportunities and interventions is limited.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to become an agent of transformation for the youth, providing and facilitating access to information, training, exposure, life coaching and a platform for active involvement in addressing societal problems faced by the youth, hence unleashing their potential.
